Community BBQ Fundraising
April 10, 2024

Riverside Co-op’s BBQ Fundraiser Program provides opportunity for non-profit/registered charitable organizations to host a community barbecue in Arborfield, Bjorkdale, Carrot River or Tisdale!

We welcome applications from:

• Non-profit/registered charitable organizations exempt from taxation under the Canada Income Tax Act, whose programs and services benefit our community
• Not-for-profit community groups and organizations

For more information call 306.873.2688 or e-mail marketing@riverside.crs.

How it works:

  • Applications are accepted until May 9, 2025.
  • Applications are reviewed and the recipients will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis dependent on date availability.
  • Recipients must submit a Temporary Event Food Vendor Application to Sask Health Authority at least 2 weeks prior to the barbecue date, provide a report to Riverside Co-op on the success of the program, how the funds were used and the impact the funds had on the program. This report shall be provided within one week of completion of the program or project
  • Riverside Co-op provides the product to the group at retail cost, along with the barbecue/tools required. Each group is responsible to bring a float and volunteers to run the barbecue.

More information and requirements:
Please note that someone on your group must have a Co-op membership to participate in this program, and that your group’s purpose should align with our Co-op’s values of Integrity, Customer Focused, Team Environment and Community Oriented.

We work hard to assist in as many community organizations as possible, however due to the high volume of requests received, not all worthwhile proposals will be approved. Such a response does not reflect upon the value of your organization and the valuable service you provide.
